Faculty Applied Sciences
The Faculty of Applied Sciences is the largest faculty of TU Delft, with around 550 scientists, a support staff of 250 and 1,800 students. The faculty conducts fundamental, application-oriented research and offers scientific education at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels. The faculty is active in the fields of Life and Health Science & Technology, Nanoscience, Chemical Engineering, Radiation Science & Technology, and Applied Physics.
The Department of Radiation Science & Technology is one of the six Departments of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and focuses on research and education in materials, energy and health with radiation as the common denominator. Fields of interest are sustainable nuclear energy, medical radioisotopes, materials for energy storage and conversion, medical technology for diagnosis and therapy, and advanced instrumentation. The Applied Radiation & Isotopes group is part of this Department.
We are looking for a highly motivated person to work as a lab technician in the technician pool and will (mainly) be stationed in the group of Applied Radiation & Isotopes (ARI). The technician will be responsible for performing analysis using different analytical, spectroscopic and microscopic techniques like HPLC, UV-VIS, SEM, etc. He /she is expected to support research and education activities of the group including supervising students in the labs and partcipating in practicals.
The candidate should have a HBO degree in a chemistry-related discipline like Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Technology or similar. The position is permanent with one year probation period. Good English speaking and writing skills are required. Knowledge and experience in radiochemical work is a plus.
What are we offering?
This position has an amount of 32-38 working hours per week (0,8 or 1 fte). The offer contains a temporary appointment with the prospect of a permanent contract. The salary is based on scale 8-9 with a maximum of € 3895, -gross per month on a fulltime basis.
